242Parallel Communication Chapter 1010.1 Communications via Parallel Port10.1.1 Input from the External DeviceOperation that is triggered by inputting from the external deviceThe following operation can be performed by entering a signal to each terminal of the parallel port on PV310 fromthe external device.Input / Output Operation Signal to be usedExecuting Inspection START (STA) signalSwitching Product Type IN1 - 6 + TYPE (TYP) signal*Switching Display Camera Image IN1 - 3 + FCT1 (FCT2) signalRe-registering Template IN1 - 7 + FCT1 (FCT2) signalInput:The operations shown right can betriggered by inputting signals fromthe external deviceRestoring CF IN1 - 7 + FCT1 (FCT2) signal*With some settings, specifying Type No. by IN1 - 6 is ineffective. Refer to Page 288.10.1.2 The Data Output from the PV310The data that are output from the PV310 during inspectionThe following signals can be output from the parallel ports D1 - D8 during inspection. If you set “Handshake” to“No” by selecting “Data Output Settings” > “Parallel Output” from the “ENVIRONMENT” menu, only Judgmentfrom JD01 to 08 are output. If you set “Handshake” to “Yes”, the data of the items that have been set to output areoutput in the following orders.Input / Output Output Order1. Number of scans2. Judgment results (up to 96 data)3. Numeric calculation data (up to 96 data)Output:The data shown right can beoutput from PV310 duringinspection4. Statistics data (up to 96 data)If the PV310 is in User-Defined mode or Autom. Switch mode, only some of the data ofthe items 1 to 4 in the table above are output.Output settingsIn the following cases, the data of each of Scans, Judgment Results, Numeric Calculation, and Statistics areoutput only once per item by replacing all of the output data lengths with 0.• Each data is set to “Out”, but the outputting data do not exist (or has not been configured).• The setting data exist, but each data is set to “None”.Output data lengthThe data of the items 1, 3 and 4 in the table shown on the previous page are output according to the bit lengthset by selecting “ENVIRONMENT” > “Data Output Settings” > “Parallel Output” > “Data Type”. The data rangeof each data length is as follows:8-bit: 0 to 25516-bit: 0 to 65535 (8-bit data are output in two divided data.)32-bit: -2147483648 to +2147483647 (8-bit dada are output in four divided data.)• For 32-bit data, negative numbers are output in the tows complement form. For 8-bit and 16 bit number, negative numbers overflow.• If each data exceed the data range above, the data are output according the specified bit length andalso 00000001 and overflow (OVF) signal are output as well. For example, If 8-bit data length and datavalues are 257 (100000001 in 2-digit form), 00000001 and overflow signal are output.
