Refer to page 26012.3.2 Establishing Communication between PV310 and ComputerEstablish communication between PV310 and a computer using the software that supports for Telnet installed onthe computer. The example of communication using "HyperTerminal" normally provided with Windows* is asdescribed below.1. Start HyperTerminal on the computer.2. Type a name (e.g. ‘test’) for storing communication settings in the box and click OK.3. Select "TCP/IP" from the Connect Using menu.4. Type the IP address that is already set on the communication destination (PV310) in the HostAddress box and input "8601" in the Port Number box.Now you completed all the settings required to start Ethernet communication.Perform inspections on PV310 and check to make sure that proper inspection results are displayed.Disconnecting Ethernet communication from TelnetTo disconnect Ethernet communication, follow the steps below.1. Remove power from the PV310.2. Disconnect communication via Telnet.• If disconnecting the communication using Telnet or detaching the Ethernet cable before removing powerfrom the PV310, the PV310 may fail to recognize the connection with the computer when Telnet reconnectswith the PV310. In such a case, execute multiple inspections by inputting START signal or pressing the Akey on the keypad for proper recognition of the connection.• Windows ® is a registered trade mark of Microsoft Corporation in the United States and other countries.
