223Environment Settings Chapter 99.2.2 Protecting the Setting Data Using a PasswordA password request function becomes available when switching from the RUN mode to SETUP mode.A "Password Request" window is displayed when the C key is continuously pressed for more than one second.Enter the preset password to change to SETUP mode. This function enables you to prevent unwanted changesof the setting data or to limit a person to change the settings.Setting the Mode Switch Limit by Password1. Select "ENVIRONMENT" from the menu bar.The ENVIRONMENT menu is displayed.2. Select "Initial Settings".The menu under Initial Settings is displayed.3. Select "Password Request".The subwindow appears. Select “Yes”(You are required to enter your password when changing to SETUP mode.)4. Select "Yes".The "Password Request" function is activated.Even if the Password Request function is set to "Yes" when you have not set a password, the "PasswordRequest" window is not displayed at the time of changing to the SETUP mode.Canceling the Mode Switch Limit by PasswordSelect “No” at the step 4 of the setting procedure shown above.(A password is not required to enter when switching to SETUP mode.)
