With Telnet, any user on the LAN orWAN executing a standard Telnet client program can remotely login to the SmartSwitch RemoteAccess Module and get an SmartSwitch Remote Access Module console session. When you have anactive console session, SmartSwitch Remote Access Module commands can be entered as if youhave a locally-attached keyboard and monitor. Once you use Telnet to login to the SmartSwitchRemote Access Module, it is possible to make configuration changes to the SmartSwitch RemoteAccess Module using SFVRA-SFG.In the first Telnet illustration (see previous page), the Telnet client is not an SmartSwitch RemoteAccess Module. It is also possible to use the SmartSwitch Remote Access Module as the Telnetclient. This allows you to remotely manage an SmartSwitch Remote Access Module with anSmartSwitch Remote Access Module.
