SYSTEM STATISTICSOVERVIEWStatistics can either be generated by issuing theds command to display the set of statistics knownas the System Statistics, or by issuing a specific command to display statistics in a specific category.In addition to using theds command to display the system statistics, they are also automaticallywritten to a statistics log every 30 minutes. The statistics are stored in the following location:Directory: \logFile Name: stat_log.nn(“nn” is an integer that is incremented each time a new file is written.You may display these log files using DOS commands. For example, to display the statistics logwith the extension of 10, you could enter the following command at the DOS prompt:C:\> type \log\stat_log.10|moreNote: The log extensions are revolving numbers. When your machine first begins operating, thefiles will progress from the .01 extension to the .10 extension. After that time, the oldestreport (.01) would be replaced with the latest report. To make sure you are viewing the logfile you wish to see, issue a DOS dir command of the log directory to display the time thateach log file was written to disk.The first set of statistics, System Statistics, are arranged by function. These are:• connectivity statistics• call restriction statistics• call statistics• throughput monitoring statisticsThe rest of the statistics are arranged in alphabetical order. These statistics pertain to specificfeatures. The statistics you choose to display will depend on which system options you haveenabled.
