This is a 1Mbpsmanagement bus located within the SmartSwitch 9000. It is utilized by all diagnostic controllers inthe system. These include connectivity modules, power supply modules, and the environmentalmodule. The SMB-1 transports inter-chassis information between system components, such aspower and environmental information, as well as diagnostic messages. Periodic loop-back tests areperformed by all modules that share this bus (which includes the SmartSwitch Remote AccessModules) to ensure the validity of SMB-1.The functions of the SMB LED are listed in the following table.P OWER LEDThe power LED provides information regarding the module power status.
