Chapter 6: Using the Web Interface249Changing Default ThresholdsThe default thresholds are the initial threshold values that automaticallyapply to numeric environmental sensors. These values are configured ona sensor type basis, which include: Temperature sensors Humidity sensors (both relative and absolute humidity) Air pressure sensors Air flow sensors Vibration sensorsNote that changing the default thresholds re-determine the initialthresholds applying to the environmental sensors that are added ordetected later on.In addition, changing the default thresholds also change the thresholdsof those environmental sensors where the default thresholds have beenselected as their threshold option. See Configuring EnvironmentalSensors or Actuators (on page 246).To change the default threshold settings:1. Click Peripheral Devices in the EMX Explorer pane, and thePeripheral Devices page opens in the right pane.2. Click Default Thresholds Setup on the Peripheral Devices page. Adialog appears, showing a list of all numeric environmental sensortypes.3. Select the desired sensor type.4. Click Edit or double-click that sensor type to adjust its thresholdsettings, deassertion hysteresis or assertion timeout. To enable any threshold, select the corresponding checkbox. Todisable a threshold, deselect the checkbox. After any threshold is enabled, type an appropriate numeric valuein the accompanying text box. To set the deassertion hysteresis, type a numeric value in theDeassertion Hysteresis field. See "To De-assert" andDeassertion Hysteresis (on page 534). To set the assertion timeout, type a numeric value in theAssertion Timeout (samples) field. See "To Assert" andAssertion Timeout (on page 532).5. Repeat the above step to modify the threshold settings of othernumeric sensor types.
