8-36 Driving and OperatingIf the vehicle has the StabiliTrak ®system and begins to limit wheelspin while using cruise control, thecruise control automaticallydisengages. See StabiliTrak Systemon page 8‑33 or Traction ControlSystem (TCS) on page 8‑32. Whenroad conditions allow the cruisecontrol to be safely used, you canapply the cruise control again.Cruise ControlThe cruise control buttons arelocated on the left side of thesteering wheel.T (On/Off): Press to turn thesystem on and off.+ RES (Resume/Accelerate):Press to make the vehicleaccelerate or resume to a previouslyset speed.SET − (Set/Coast): Press to setthe speed or make the vehicleslow down.[ (Cancel): Press to cancel cruisecontrol without erasing the setspeed from memory.Setting Cruise ControlCruise control will not work if theparking brake is set, or if the mastercylinder brake fluid level is low.The cruise control light on theinstrument panel cluster comes onafter the cruise control has been setto the desired speed.{ WARNINGIf you leave your cruise control onwhen you are not using cruise,you might hit a button and go intocruise when you do not want to.You could be startled and evenlose control. Keep the cruisecontrol switch off until you want touse cruise control.1. Press T .2. Get up to the desired speed.3. Press the SET− button locatedon the steering wheel andrelease it.4.
