CLIMATE CONTROLS 167Climate Control DisplayThe fan, air delivery mode, A/C mode,driver and passenger temperatures,and SYNC settings can be controlledby touching CLIMATE on theinfotainment Home Page or theclimate button in the displayapplication tray. A selection can thenbe made on the front climate controlpage displayed. See the infotainmentmanual.Climate Control Status DisplayThe climate control status displayappears briefly when the climatecontrol buttons on the center stackare adjusted. Touching the quickstatus pane opens the climateapplication.Climate Control Function with Stop/Start (If Equipped)The climate control system dependson other vehicle systems for heat andpower input. The climate controlsystem will balance stop/startefficiency with air conditioningcomfort and defog operation.The following climate control settingsresult in fewer auto stops:. The defrost mode. High fan speed settings. Extreme temperature settingsFor maximum air conditioningcomfort, use the stop/start disableswitch. See “Auto Engine Stop/Start”under Starting the Engine 0 191.Automatic OperationThe system automatically controls thefan speed, air delivery, airconditioning, and recirculation inorder to heat or cool the vehicle to thedesired temperature.When AUTO is lit, all four functionsoperate automatically. Each functioncan also be manually set and theselected setting is displayed.Functions not manually set willcontinue to be automaticallycontrolled, even if the AUTO indicatoris not lit.For automatic operation:1. Press AUTO.2. Set the temperature. Allow thesystem time to stabilize. Thenadjust the temperature as neededfor best comfort.To improve fuel efficiency and to coolthe vehicle faster, recirculation may beautomatically selected in warmweather. The recirculation light willnot come on. Press @ to selectrecirculation; press it again to selectoutside air.English units can be changed tometric units through the instrumentcluster. See “Settings” underInstrument Cluster 0 117.OFF : Press to turn the fan on or off.When off is selected, the system willstop air from flowing into the cabin.
