Therear window defogger only workswhen the engine is running.The rear window defogger turns offautomatically after about 15 minutes.At higher vehicle speeds, the rearwindow defogger may stay oncontinuously.The upper gridlines on the rearwindow are antenna lines and are notintended to heat when the defogger isactivated.The heated outside mirrors turn onwhen the rear window defoggerbutton is on. They help to clear fog orfrost from the surface of the mirrors.The rear window defogger can be setto automatic operation. See “Climateand Air Quality” under VehiclePersonalization 0 140. When auto reardefog is selected, the rear windowdefogger turns on automatically whenthe interior temperature is cold andthe outside temperature is about 4 °C(40 °F) and below.
