Cruise control doesnot work at speeds below about40 km/h (25 mph).{ WarningCruise control can be dangerouswhere you cannot drive safely at asteady speed. Do not use cruisecontrol on winding roads or inheavy traffic.Cruise control can be dangerous onslippery roads. On such roads, fastchanges in tire traction can causeexcessive wheel slip, and you couldlose control. Do not use cruisecontrol on slippery roads.If equipped with a manualtransmission and 2.0L L4 engine(LTG), the cruise control will remainactive when the gears are shifted. Thecruise is deactivated if the clutch ispressed for several seconds. In anATS-V Series vehicle, cruise control iscanceled immediately with theactivation of the clutch pedal.If the StabiliTrak system begins tolimit wheel spin while using cruisecontrol, the cruise controlautomatically disengages. See TractionControl/Electronic Stability Control0 208. If a collision alert occurs whencruise control is activated, cruisecontrol is disengaged. See ForwardCollision Alert (FCA) System 0 232.When road conditions allow you tosafely use it again, cruise control canbe turned back on.Turning off the TCS or StabiliTraksystem will disengage the cruisecontrol.If the brakes are applied, cruisecontrol disengages.
