290 VEHICLE CARERun-Flat TiresThis vehicle, when new, may have hadrun-flat tires. There is no spare tire,no tire changing equipment, and noplace to store a tire in the vehicle.The vehicle also has a Tire PressureMonitor System (TPMS) that indicatesa loss of tire pressure in any of thetires.{ WarningIf the low tire warning light displayson the instrument cluster, thehandling capabilities will bereduced during severe maneuvers.Driving too fast could cause loss ofcontrol and you or others could beinjured. Do not drive over 90 km/h(55 mph) when the low tire warninglight is displayed. Drive cautiouslyand check the tire pressures assoon as possible.Run-flat tires can be driven on withno air pressure. There is no need tostop on the side of the road to changethe tire. Continue driving; however, donot drive too far or too fast. Drivingon the tire may not be possible ifthere is permanent damage. Toprevent permanent damage, keepspeed below 80 km/h (50 mph). Witha light load the vehicle can be drivenup to 100 km (60 mi); with amoderate load 80 km (50 mi); and aheavy load 45 km (25 mi). As soon aspossible, contact the nearestauthorized GM or run-flat servicingfacility for inspection and repair orreplacement.When driving on a deflated run-flattire, avoid potholes and other roadhazards that could damage the tireand/or wheel beyond repair. When atire has been damaged, or driven anydistance while deflated, check with anauthorized run-flat tire service centerto determine whether the tire can berepaired or should be replaced.
