Installer Menu Options i-on RangePage 120The display shows the following options:Protocol This option allows you to select the protocol used by theService Centre.In control unit software version 4.04 and above the ETSIProtocol 1 is available by default for all i-on control unitsEXCEPT i-on16.The other protocols available are: TAP 8N1, TAP 7E1 , UCP8N1 and UCP 7E1.Service Centre Tel No The option allows you to store the Service Centre’s telephonenumber.The default number is 147017094009 for ETSI Protocol 1.Consult the technical support department of the serviceprovider that you wish to use. When asking for the servicecentre number ask which protocol they support. Press * toinsert a two second pause, if required. The display shows thisas a comma.Own Telephone No. This option appears when you select either of the UCPprotocols. The option allows you to record the telephonenumber that originated the SMS message. This number isvisible to the receiver of the message.Line Fail Response (For Plug-on or Built-in Module)This menu lets you program the system to respond with either audible or silent alarmswhen the control unit detects a fault on a communication line connected to either a plug-onor built-in communications module. To program Line Fail Response selectCommunications – Line Fail Response.The exact response depends on whether the system is set or unset, as follows:Audible If the system is unset then the system logs the event. Thekeypads produce a short audible tone every minute. Entering avalid access code silences the sounders and the displayindicates a telephone line fault. The system can be set againwith the line fault present.If the system is set then the control unit logs the event but doesnot give any tone or display. The control unit cancels anyprogrammed siren delay if the line is out of order when an alarmoccurs.Note: Eaton’s Security Business recommends audible response for line fault.Silent If the system is unset then the keypad display indicates atelephone line fault, the LEDs around the navigation key glowred, and the control unit logs the event. The system may be setagain with the line fault present.If the system is set then the control unit does not give anyindication or tone but does log the event. The control unitcancels any programmed siren delay if the line is out of orderwhen an alarm occurs.Disabled The control unit does not monitor the telephone line.
