For the i-on16 this option appears only when the i-sd01 is fitted.)The Test menu allows you to send a test call to either of the two telephone numbers youhave programmed to receive alarm information. The control unit must have a suitablecommunications module fitted. ARC reporting must be enabled (see page 106 ).From the Installer Menu select Test – ARC Reporting – Tel No 01 (or Tel No 02).If the control unit uses SIA or CID reporting then the control unit starts the test call as soonas you press . Press to abandon the test call.If the control unit uses Fast Format reporting then when you press the keypad displayshows you the first in a list of the available Fast Format channels. Press or to scrollup or down the list. Press or to select a channel for testing. Press to start the testcall. The control unit sends a “T” (Test message) and the channel(s) you selected. If youdo not select any channels the control unit sends a “T” by itself.During the test call the keypad display will show a sequence of progress messages.If the call fails the keypad display will show a brief message giving the reason for failure.Speech Dialler(For the i-on40, i-on30EX, i-on50EX and i-on160EX this option appears only when the i-sd02 or i-gsm02 module is fitted. For the i-on16 this option appears only when the i-sd01 isfitted.)The Test menu allows you to send a test speech call to any telephone number (not just theones programmed to receive speech messages in the event of an alarm).From the Installer Menu select Test – Speech Dialler.The keypad display shows a message asking you to key in a telephone number.Key in the telephone number of the phone that you wish to receive the test message andpress .When you press the control unit starts the test call. The keypad display shows:“Dialling...”.When the person at the receiving end answers the call the display shows “Connected...”.The control unit will play the home message followed by each of the four alarm messages,and then repeat all five messages three more times. While the control unit is playing themessages the keypad display shows “Playing messages...”.The person receiving the messages call acknowledge (and end) the call by pressing “5” or“9” on their phone keypad.If no-one acknowledges a test call the keypad display shows “No acknowledgement”.PSU Current30 40 50 160The Test menu allows you to check how much current the control unit is consuming. Fromthe Installer menu select Test – PSU Current. The bottom line of the keypad display showsthe current delivered by the PSU in the control unit.
