The control unit will not display zones with type Not Used.Programming User Defined OutputsOutput type 43 allows you to program User Defined Outputs.User Defined outputs can be activated by one of the following events:A user presses a button on a remote that has been programmed to activate a UserDefined output.A user operates the output from the User Menu – Outputs On/Off option.A user presses one of the A, B, C or D keys on a keypad that the installer hasprogrammed to operate a User Defined output.The timer associated with the output reaches its on or off time.In the Installer Menu, while programming a user output type, the control unit gives you thefollowing options:PolarityPolarity can be either Normal or Inverted. This option works the same way asdescribed for Wired Outputs – see page 65.LatchedLatched can be either Yes or No.No: The output initially changes state when a user operates the output, but thenchanges state again after a set time. The time is fixed by the “On Time” option,below.Yes: The output changes state every time a user operates the output. In addition,three new menu options appear that allow you to set an On time and Off time for anyday of the week, see below.On TimeIf you select Latched = No, then use this option to key in the number of seconds theoutput should remain active. You can select any period between 1 and 999 seconds.Note that if you select an active time of zero seconds then the output will not operate.On Time/Off Time/DaysIf you select Latched = Yes, then use these three options to make a user definedoutput come on and go off in a regular pattern.On Time: Key in the time on the 24 hour clock when you want the output to activate.Off Time: Key in the time on the 24 hour clock when you want the output todeactivate.Days: Select one or more days of the week when you want the output to operate.The control unit will operate the output at the times selected. However, if a useractivates the output while it is Off, then the output stays on until the control unitreaches the next Off time.
