Make sure the system is fully unset and showing thestandby screen (time and date).Note that although the example at the right shows “i-on160EX” on the top line, if you are using anothercontrol unit, the text will show the name of that controlunit.2. Key in the Installer access code. When delivered fromthe factory, at Security Grade 2 the default Installeraccess code is “7890”. The default user code is “1234”.(Note that at Security Grade 3 on the i-on50EX and i-on160EX the codes are “567890” and “123456”respectively.)As you start to key in the code the display shows: When you key in the last digit of the access code thedisplay MAY show: If this happens key in a valid user code (not a Set Onlyuser code see note 1).When you key in the last digit of the access code thedisplay shows “Installer Menu” on the top line. Thebottom line shows the first option in the Installer menu:Detectors/Devices. (See “Code Lockout” on page 12)3. Press or to display more options from the menu.Each option appears on the bottom line of the displayin turn, for example: 4. Press or to select that option of the menu.The option you selected now appears on the top line. Ifthere are any sub-options for that selection, then thefirst of them appears on the bottom line. Press or to display the other sub-options.Note: After you initially gain access to the Installer Menu, you may leave and re-enterusing the Installer access code by itself for up to 30 minutes after you last exited theInstaller Menu. After that time, or if the system is armed then disarmed, you will needto enter a valid user access code to complete your entry into the Installer Menu (notethat you cannot use a Set Only user code). To disable this feature see SystemOptions – User Access – User Code Required on page 87.Code Lockout – Excess Keys TamperIf any user (including the installer) keys in their access code incorrectly, the keypad displayshows the time and date again, and gives an error tone. Key in the access code again, butensure that it is correct.If any user keys in a total of four consecutive incorrect access codes then the systemstarts a tamper alarm and locks all users out of all keypads for 90 seconds. This event isrecorded in the log as “Excess Keys Tamper” together with the number of the keypad atwhich this occurred.
