Installer Menu Options i-on RangePage 62Partitions (Assigning Radio Keypads to)30 40 50 160To assign radio keypads to one or more of the partitions select Detectors/Devices – RadioKeypad – Edit Keypads - Partitions.Once you have entered the Edit Keypads - Partitions option, press or to scrollthrough the list of partitions followed by or to allocate/deallocate the radio keypad toeach partition as necessary.If you wish to allocate/deallocate a radio keypad to many partitions you can use the “AllPartitions” option (in between partition 1 and the last partition on the menu) to eitherallocate or deallocate the radio keypad to all partitions in one operation. Once you havecarried out this operation you can then scroll through the partition list and change theallocation of radio keypads as necessary.Programming Radio Keypad ABCD Keys30 40 50 160In a partitioned system Radio Keypad ABCD keys can be programmed in the same way aswired keypad ABCD keys. You can allocate each key to setting and unsetting anycombination of partitions that the keypad belongs to. Select Detectors/Devices – RadioKeypads – Edit Keypads. Select the keypad you wish to edit. Select the key you wish toedit. Allocate partitions as required.In a partitioned system the Radio Keypad ABCD keys default to the following functions: AFull = Set Partition 1, B = = Full Set Partition 2, C = Full Set Partition 3, D = Full SetPartition 4.In a part setting system the Radio Keypad ABCD keys default to the following functions: A= Full Set, B = part set B, C = part set C, D = part set D.In either part setting or partitioned systems the ABCD can be reprogrammed to operateoutputs that have the type “User Defined”.Single Action Unset for DD243/BS8243 from Radio KeypadThe radio keypad is capable of providing single action unset. You can enable or disablethis feature by using a jumper on the “DD243 Single Action Unset” pins on the radiokeypad printed circuit board.Jumper Fitted: the radio keypad transmits an unset command two seconds after the userpresents a recognised proximity tag. This feature is designed for use when the keypad isworking with DD243/BS8243 compliant systems.(Note that this delay does not apply to the setting procedure.)Jumper Not fitted: the keypad transmits a command after a user has presented theirproximity tag, and then pressed another key (A, B, or unset).External SirensThe 760ES external radio siren is a weather-proof battery powered siren designed tooperate on external walls. In an alarm the control unit triggers the external siren at thesame time as the internal siren. The 760ES external siren runs for either: five seconds,three minutes, or 15 minutes depending on the position of a link within the sounder.Each expander can learn up to two external radio sirens.See ”System Capacities” on page 9 for the maximum number of radio sirens each controlunit in the i-onEX range can learn.To program the external siren select Detectors/Devices – External Siren.
