i-on Range Installer Menu OptionsPage 63Radio Sirens and Partitions30 40 50 160In partitioned system you can assign a radio siren to any of the partitions. Any radio sirencan belong to one or more partitions.Assigning a radio siren to partitions controls the response to tampers of those partitions. Ifany assigned partition is set then a tamper to the radio siren will cause an unconfirmedalarm. If there is an outstanding unconfirmed alarm then this will cause a confirmed alarmto be generated.When delivered from the factory, or if you restore the control unit to factory settings, thenall radio sirens belong to partition 1.Once you have entered the Detectors/Devices – External Sirens – Edit Siren – (Siren) -Partitions option, press or to scroll through the list of partitions followed by or to allocate/deallocate the radio siren to each partition as necessary.If you wish to allocate/deallocate the radio siren to many partitions you can use the “AllPartitions” option (in between partition 1 and 20 on the menu) to either allocate ordeallocate the radio siren to all partitions in one operation. Once you have carried out thisoperation you can then scroll through the partition list and change the allocation of theradio siren as necessary.Info Modules40The 771r Info Module is a display module for indoor use within the protected area that canshow the setting state of the system or one or more partitions. You must teach the identityof the i-on40 control unit to each Info Module that you wish to use.If you wish to allocate an Info Module to individual partitions then you must fit theappropriate jumpers within the Info Module (see the 771r Installation Guide supplied withthe Info Module).Adding an Info ModuleTo add an Info Module:1. Select Detectors/Devices – Info Module .2. Make sure the Info Module is in Learn Mode (consult the 771r Installation Guide).3. Select Teach Info Module.The display shows the message “Is the receiver in learn mode?”.4. Press on the i-on40 keypad.The Info Module should beep twice to confirm that it has learned the identity of thecontrol unit.The keypad display shows “Did the receiver beep twice?”.5. Press on the i-on40 keypad to confirm that the Info Module has learned the identityof the i-on40.Disabling Info ModulesIf you physically remove the Info Modules from a system (for example, when a user nolonger requires them) then you may wish to stop the control unit trying to update the InfoModule’s display. To disable updates on an Info Module select Detectors/Devices – InfoModule - Updates. The available options are:
