8.5 Custom Tuning8.5.3 Operating Procedure8-20Vibration Suppression Functions Notch Filters and Automatic Anti-resonance SettingIf the vibration frequency that occurs when you increase the servo gains is at 1,000 Hz orhigher, notch filters are effective to suppress vibration. If the vibration is between 100 Hz and1,000 Hz, anti-resonance control is effective. Automatic SettingTo set vibration suppression automatically, use the parameters to enable notch filters and auto-matic anti-resonance control setting. The notch filter frequency (stage 1 or 2) or anti-resonance control frequency that is effective forthe vibration that was detected during tuning will be automatically set.• Auto-setting Cancel ButtonsThe automatically set notch filter frequencies or the anti-resonance control frequenciesmay not always suppress vibration. Click the Cancel Button to reset the notch filter fre-quencies or the anti-resonance control frequencies to the values from just before thesefrequencies were set automatically. When they are reset, vibration detection will start again.• Vib Detect ButtonWhile the notch filter or anti-resonance control adjustment automatic setting function isenabled, you can click the Vib Detect Button to manually detect vibration. When youclick the Vib Detect Button, the SERVOPACK will detect vibration at that time, and setthe notch filter frequency (stage 1 or 2) or anti-resonance control frequency that iseffective for the detected vibration. You can also perform manual vibration detectioneven when the SERVOPACK does not detect vibration.• Anti-res Ctrl Adj ButtonYou can use the Anti-res Ctrl Adj Button to execute the anti-resonance control func-tion if fine-tuning is required. Refer to the following section.8.6 Anti-Resonance Control Adjustment on page 8-24• Vib Suppress ButtonClick the Vib Suppress Button to suppress low and transient vibration (oscillation) ofapproximately 1 Hz to 100 Hz that occurs during positioning. Refer to the followingsection.8.7 Vibration Suppression on page 8-28
