Warnings cannot cause shutdowns.Low BatteryThe Control Board monitors battery voltage and displays a warn-ing if the battery voltage falls below 11.9 volts for one (1) minute.Warning is automatically cleared if the battery voltage rises above12.4 volts. Battery voltage is not monitored during the crankcycle.Exercise Set ErrorIf the exercise period becomes corrupted, a warning messagewill be displayed. This message will only clear when the exerciseperiod is reset.3.6.4 MAINTENANCE ALERTSThird priorityMaintenance MessageWhen a maintenance period expires, a warning message willbe displayed. The alert can be reset by pressing the Enter key,which will cause the user to be prompted to confirm the action.Resetting will clear the alert and reset the maintenance countersfor all conditions annunciated. The history log will record the alert.The maintenance counter will not accumulate without batterypower. Once battery power is restored, the set time prompt will bedisplayed. The maintenance counters will be adjusted to the newtime and date.NOTE:Since most maintenance alerts will occur at the same time(most have two (2) year intervals), only one will appear on thedisplay at any one time. Once the first alert is cleared, the nextactive alert will be displayed.3.7 SHUTTING THE GENERATOR DOWNWHILE UNDER LOADTo safely stop and start a loaded generator follow these steps.3.7.1 ISOLATE THE MAIN SERVICE DISTRIBUTIONPANEL1. At the main service distribution panel, open (turn off) the mainservice entrance breaker.3.7.2 STOPPING THE GENERATOR1. Turn the Main Circuit Breaker off (Figure 3.6).2. If generator has a GFCI Outlet and it is being used, turn off the15 Amp Outlet Breaker (Figure 3.6).3. Allow the generator to run for 1 minute without load to cooldown.4. If the generator will be left off for longer than 1 hour withoututility present remove the 7.5 Amp Main Fuse from the controlpanel (Figure 3.7). This will prevent the control panel fromrunning down the battery.3.7.3 STARTING THE GENERATOR1. If the Main Fuse was removed, replace the fuse. The startupwizard will be displayed, allowing the correct time and date tobe entered. It will not be necessary to re-enter the activationcode.2. Turn the Auto/Off/Manual switch to the Auto position. After ashort delay the generator will start.3. Allow the generator to run for 15 seconds to allow the engineto warm up.4. Turn on the Main Circuit Breaker.5.
