After that an interim image is performedbefore and after the next step of the motorized XY stage. A cross correlation of the two profiles (Z) andthe two (not displayed) images (lateral) is performed to assure an accurate profile match online duringthe experiment.If you acquire the Multiple Profile Scan in Range Indicator palette the results of thecorrelation could directly be observed as "blue boxes".
