Most of the entriesin menu 0 can be changed in menu 1; however, two fields cannot bechanged or updated, unless XC1000 is reinitialized:Be careful when entering information in the Type ofTelephone System: and Message Waiting Special:fields. They cannot be changed unless the XC1000 isreinitialized. During reinitialization, the database andall messages are lost.Caution! The type of telephone system to which XC1000 is connected (1 – NorthAmerican, 2 – Australian, 3 – New Zealand, or 4 – United Kingdom) The special field for message waitingThe serial number can be changed when a XC1000 expansion is performed.Otherwise, it can only be changed in menu 0 during a reinitialization. Allmessages and the database are deleted if the XC1000 is reinitialized.XC1000 mailbox numbers can be from 3 to 10 digits long. This number isselected during the menu 0 procedures and must be selected carefully,because it is difficult to change. Once set, the mailbox-number lengthscan only be increased.
