When all upgrades are complete, press the F2 key. The Exit OnlineUpgrade And Return To DOS? (Y/N) Y prompt is displayed. Press theEnter key to return to the C:\PCUPG> prompt.15.12 RECONNECT THE SMT AND VERIFY THE UPGRADETo verify that the upgrade was successful, perform the following steps:1. Reconnect the system manager terminal to the XC1000 as it wasbefore the upgrade (section 15.7).2. At the SMT Main Menu prompt, type 20 and then press the Enter keyto access Menu 20 – Service Operations.3. Select the Drive Copy Utilities option by typing the associated menunumber, then press the Enter key.4. Select the Display Drive Info option by typing the associated menunumber, then press the Enter key.5. At the Enter position of source drive [0–1]: prompt, type 0 and thenpress the Enter key to display drive information about system-drive 0.6. The Drive Serial No: is displayed. At the Is this the correct drive?(y/n): prompt, verify that the drive serial number is correct, then typey and press the Enter key.Drive information is displayed, showing the current software version inthe System Boot Area: field and the new software version in the areanot currently booted.7. Press ^C and repeat steps 3 through 6 for system-drive 1, if desired.Press ^C twice to return to the SMT Main Menu.15.13 RESET THE BOOT AREAAlthough the upgrade is complete, the XC1000 must be rebooted for thenew software version to operate. To reboot the XC1000, perform thefollowing procedure:1. Make sure that all errors listed in the status log have been corrected.2. At the SMT Main Menu prompt, type 20 and then press the Enter keyto select Menu 20 – Service Operations.3. Select the Miscellaneous Utilities option by typing the associatedmenu number, then press the Enter key.4. Select the Set System Boot Area option by typing the associatedmenu number, then press the Enter key.
