Determine the correct system manager terminal (SMT) port baud rateof the XC1000 (section 15.5).23. Verify the system boot area (section 15.6).24. Connect the hardware between the PC and the XC1000 (section 15.7).25. Install online upgrade tool 1.00 on PC hard drive (section 15.8).26. Verify the setup in the Setup menu (section 15.9).27. Load software and phrase diskettes on the PC hard drive (section15.10).28. Begin the automatic upgrade (section 15.11).29. Reconnect the system manager terminal and verify the upgrade(section 15.12).30. Reset the boot area to run the XC1000 on new software (section 15.13).31. Disable the engineering bit (section 15.14).32. Make software and phrase areas redundant (section 15.15).If the online upgrade fails at any point during the proce-dure, call the Octel National Response Center (for nationalaccounts) or the Octel Technical Assistance Center (TAC)for assistance.
