Disconnect the SMT cable, P/N 057–1174–000, from the back of theterminal. Plug the adapter end into a DB25/DB9 adapter, P/N003–1091–000, and plug into the PC COM1 port.3. Leave the other end of the cable, P/N 057–1174–000, plugged intoSMT port J50. Set aside the terminal.4. Plug one end of the second cable, P/N 057–1174–000 into a 25-pinmale/25-pin female null modem connector, P/N 003–1115–000, andthen into flexible port J43.5. Plug the other end of the second cable into a DB25/DB9 adapter, P/N003–1091–000, and then into the PC COM2 port.6. If the PC COM ports have 25-pin male connections, plug two female/female DB25/DB25 gender changer adapters, P/N 003–1092–000, intothe PC COM ports.7.
