The rate at which ICMP unreachables is issued can be controlled with theoptional number and time parameters by indicating the maximum number of destinationunreachable messages which can be issued on the interface for a given time interval.By default, generation of ICMP destination unreachable messages is enabled at a maximumrate of 10 per 60 second time interval. The no form of this command disables the generation of icmp destination unreachablemessages on the router interface.Default unreachables 100 10Parameters number — The maximum number of ICMP unreachable messages to send. This parametermust be specified with the seconds parameter.Values: 10 — 1000seconds — The time frame in seconds used to limit the number of ICMP unreachablemessages that can be issued.Values: 1 — 60Item Description(2 of 2)Item DescriptionSyntax [no]local-proxy-ndContext configure>service>ies>interface>ipv6Description This command enables or disables neighbor discovery on the interface. When enabled, the ISAM will behave as follows:• Respond to all neighbor solicitation messages received on the IP interface for IPv6addresses in the subnet(s) with the system MAC address as link layer address, providedthe link layer address of the destination/target IP address was learned and thus availablein the ISAM’s neighbor cache.• Forward IPv6 traffic between hosts in the subnet(s) of the IP interface.• Drop IPv6 traffic between hosts if the link layer address information for the IPv6 destinationhas not been learned.
