In addition, a selectedfrequency associated with the airspace can be loaded from the Nearest Airspaces Page. In addition to displayinga map of airspace boundaries and surrounding area, the Nearest Airspaces Page displays airspace information infour boxes labeled ‘Airspace Alerts’, ‘Airspace Agency’, ‘Vertical Limits’, and ‘Frequencies’.Figure 5-42 Nearest Airspaces PageAirspace Alerts Info- Name- Proximity (Ahead, Inside,Ahead < 2nm, Within 2nm)- Time till Intercept (only ifAhead or Ahead < 2nm)Airspace Vertical Limits- Ceiling- FloorAirspace/Agency Info- Airspace Type- Controlling AgencyAirspace 1Associated Frequencies- Type- Availability/Info- FrequencyAirspace 2Airspace 3Airspace alerts and associated frequencies are shown in scrollable lists on the Nearest Airspaces Page. TheAlerts and FREQ softkeys place the cursor in the respective list. The FREQ Softkey is enabled only if one or morefrequencies exist for a selected airspace.Selecting and viewing an airspace alert with its associated information:1) Select the Nearest Airspaces Page.2) Select the Alerts Softkey; or press the FMS Knob; or press the MENU Key, highlight ‘Select Alerts Window’,and press the ENT Key. The cursor is placed in the ‘Airspace Alerts’ Box.3) Select the desired airspace.4) Press the FMS Knob to remove the flashing cursor.Pressing the PFD Alerts Softkey displays the Alerts window on the PFD. The following airspace alerts aredisplayed in the alerts window:Message CommentsINSIDE ARSPC – Inside airspace. The aircraft is inside the airspace.ARSPC AHEAD – Airspace ahead – less than10 minutes.Special use airspace is ahead of aircraft. The aircraft penetrates the airspacewithin 10 minutes.ARSPC NEAR – Airspace near and ahead. Special use airspace is near and ahead of the aircraft position.ARSPC NEAR – Airspace near – less than 2 nm.
