In addition to providing the standard system altitudealerter function, selected altitude provides an altitude setting for the Altitude Capture/Holdmode of the AFCS18 **AP Key Engages/disengages the Autopilot and Flight Director in the default vertical and lateralmodes.19 **FD Key Activates/deactivates the Flight Director only. Pressing the FD key turns on the Flight Direc-tor in the default vertical and lateral modes. Pressing the FD key again deactivates the FlightDirector and removes the command bars, unless the Autopilot is engaged.
