Network requirementsThere are four units in an IRF network: unit 1 to unit 4. Unit 1 and unit 3 connect toanother switch (Switch) through link aggregation. If the connection between unit 1 andunit 3 and the connection between unit 2 and unit 4 break off, there will be two Layer 3switches with the same configuration in the network. In this case, problems occur inpackets forwarding between the fabric and the Switch. You can enable the ResilientARP function for the fabric to avoid the problems. For security concerns, you need toenable MD5 authentication function. The ports through which unit 3 and unit 4 connectto the Switch belong to VLAN 2.II.
