6-7FUEL Fuel systemChecking the canister1. Check the canister. Replace the canisterif cracked.2. Connect the special service tool a to theatmospheric port a and cover the otherports b with fingers.3. Apply the specified positive pressure andcheck that there is no air leakage.Replace the canister if there is air leak-age.Installing the canister1. Install the grommets a and collars b tothe bracket c.2. Install the bracket c, and temporarilytighten the fuel pump assembly bolt dand cylinder head cover bolts e.3. Tighten the fuel pump assembly bolt dto the specified torque.TIP:Tighten the cylinder head cover bolts e tothe general torque in 2 stages.4. Install the canister using the bracket andthe bolt.
