Replace if crackedor damaged.Assembling the lower case• Use heat-resistant gloves, otherwiseburns could result.• Remove any flammable substances,such as gasoline and oil, around theworking area to avoid the risk of fire.• Heat the lower case in a well-ventilatedarea.Do not reuse the bearing, always replaceit with a new one.1. Install the original shim(s) (T1) a.2. Heat the installation area of the rollerbearing in the lower case with a gastorch, and then install the roller bearingb. NOTICE: When heating the lowercase, heat the entire installation areaevenly. Otherwise, the paint on thelower case could be burned.TIP:Do not reuse a shim if it is any deformed orscratched.3. While holding the special service tool c,strike the tool to check that the rollerbearing is installed properly. If a high-pitched metallic sound is produced whenthe special service tool is struck, theouter race is installed properly.4.
