7-56Crankcase012345678910A2. Measure the crankshaft runout. Replacethe crankshaft if out of specification.Checking the crankpin oil clearance1. Clean the bearings and the connectingrod.2. Install the upper bearing into theconnecting rod a and the lower bearinginto the connecting rod cap b.TIP:Install the connecting rod bearings in theiroriginal positions.3. Put a piece of Plastigauge (PG-1) ontothe crankpin, parallel to the crankshaft.TIP:Make sure not to put the Plastigauge (PG-1)over the oil hole in the crankpin of the crank-shaft.4.
