If the outboardmotor is not suspended it can fall sud-denly and result in severe injury.1. Fully tilt the swivel bracket up, and thensupport it with the tilt stop lever a.TIP:If the PTT unit does not operate, open themanual valve b by turning it counterclock-wise, and then tilt the swivel bracket up man-ually.2. Remove the plastic ties c, and then pullout the PTT motor lead a from the clampbracket (PORT).3. Disconnect the ground lead d.4. Remove the circlip e, and the shaft f.5. Connect the PTT motor leads a to thebattery terminals to retract the PTT ramsfully.6.
