Select the suitable color c for theconnecting rod bearing from the table.Example:If the connecting rod big end inside diametera is “35” and the crankpin mark b is “81,”and then select the bearing colors in “g.”Checking the crankshaft journal oilclearance1. Clean the bearings, crankshaft journals,crankcase, cylinder block, and mainbearing cap.2. Place the cylinder block upside down ona bench.3. Install half of the main bearings a andthe crankshaft b into the cylinder blockc.TIP:Install the main bearings in their original posi-tions.4.
