10-12General Periodic Maintenance012345678910A4. Install the oil filter, and then tighten it tothe specified torque using a 72.5 mm(2.9 in) oil filter wrench a.5. Pour the specified amount of therecommended engine oil into the oil fillerhole.6. Install the oil filler cap and dipstick, andthen start the engine and warm it up for 5minutes.7. Turn the engine off, and then check theoil level and that there is no oil leakage.Checking the engine start switch andengine shut-off switch1. Check the engine start switch and engineshut-off switch. See “Checking theengine start switch and engine shut-offswitch” (10-5).Checking the fuel joint and fuelhoses (fuel joint-to-fuel injector)1. Remove the spark plug wire cover.2. Check the low-pressure fuel hoseconnections. Also, check the fuel filter a,fuel pumps b, and filter c. Replace thelow-pressure fuel hoses if there isleakage or deterioration.3. Check the high-pressure fuel hoseconnections. Also, check the vaporseparator d, fuel rail e, fuel injectors f,pressure regulator g, and fuel cooler h.Replace the high-pressure fuel hoses ifthere is leakage or deterioration.Checking the fuel filter1.
