Heat the installation area of the taperroller bearing outer race in the lower casewith a gas torch, and then install theouter race b. NOTICE: When heatingthe lower case, heat the entireinstallation area evenly. Otherwise,the paint on the lower case could beburned.TIP:Do not reuse a shim if it is any deformed orscratched.3. While holding the special service tool c,strike the tool to check that the taperroller bearing outer race is installedproperly. If a high-pitched metallic soundis produced when the special service toolis struck, the outer race is installedproperly.4.
