All doorsof the system must be closed and no sample canbe present in the system. The boot process will beinterrupted and a message (Fig. 7) will state toremove the sample; do so if necessary and pressOK to continue with the boot process.− Offline/Demo for data analysis and simulation.Offline/Demo reads the active hardware databaseand simulates the respective hardware. This buttonis only available after opening the Boot Statusdisplay by clicking the little arrow left of the text"Boot Status" This option should be chosen whenworking at an offline station and if you want totest functionalities of the system. The progress ofthe boot process will be displayed by the blue timetab. The single components will be listed, whichare initialized during the boot process. Note thatthe software will not control the hardware in thismode.− Image Processing for data analysis only. Thismode ignores the hardware and activates only datahandling and image processing functionality toanalyze stored images. Note that only thosesoftware tools will be displayed that are needed forprocessing and analysis of the data. No hardwarecontrol tools will be shown.− Cancel to abort the booting process and to leavethe dialog. Note that the Cancel button willappear in the place of the Image processingbutton only if Start System or Offline/Demo wasselected (Fig. 6).− You can leave the software by choosing the Filemenu from the main tool area and selecting Exit.− You can select a database before booting, if youwish to change the current one. To change thedatabase, open the Hardware configurationdatabase expansion field (Fig. 8).
