CHAPTER 4 - SYSTEM OPERATIONLightsheet Z.1 Introduction to the Software Application Layout Carl Zeiss02/2013 000000-1790-528 29To add, edit or delete configurations, click on the button next to the configuration drop-downlist.2.8.1 Tool Groups and ToolsMultiple Columns Layout of tool groupsThis function allows moving one or several tool groups into a second or third column in the Left ToolArea. This is done by dragging and dropping the tool groups header. The second column opensautomatically if a group is moved and closes if all groups are removed from it.Undock function of tool windowsThis function allows undocking and moving one or several tool windows from its home position in theLeft Tool Area to any position on the Monitor. This can be done by clicking the button. The tools canalso be undocked by simply dragging the header bar of the respective tool to the desired position. Toplace a tool back into its home position, click the button again, or drag the tool back to the Left ToolArea, or click on the grey place holder at the home position of the tool. The last option is particularlyuseful if the screen gets too crowded and one can't find the tools anymore. To float all tools back withone click, use the button at the top right corner of the menu bar.To position the tool window freely on the desktop, use the drag and drop function.Opening a tool windowClicking on the tool header opens or closes the tool pull-down window. The state is indicated by achanging icon ( , ) at the left hand side of the tool window header.If a tool is undocked from the Left Tool Area (float function) it will be opened automatically and cannotbe closed, the icons ( , )will not be displayed in this case.
