Sflow Commands 159775Sflow CommandsDell Networking N2000/N3000/N4000 Series SwitchessFlow® is the standard for monitoring high-speed switched and routednetworks. sFlow technology is built into network equipment and givescomplete visibility into network activity, enabling effective management andcontrol of network resources. The sFlow monitoring system consists of an sFlow Agent (embedded in aswitch or router or in a stand-alone probe) and a central sFlow Collector. ThesFlow Agent uses sampling technology to capture traffic statistics from thedevice it is monitoring. sFlow datagrams are used to forward the sampledtraffic statistics immediately to an sFlow Collector for analysis. The trafficsamples sent to the Collector contain the source ifIndex and, for switchedpackets, the destination ifIndex. The sFlow Agent supports two forms of sampling: statistical packet-basedsampling of switched or routed Packet Flows and time-based sampling ofcounters.Commands in this ChapterThis chapter explains the following commands:sflow destinationUse the sflow destination command to configure the sFlow collectorparameters (owner string, receiver timeout, maxdatagram, ip address andport). Use the “no” form of this command to set receiver parameters to thedefault or remove a receiver.sflow destination show sflow agentsflow polling show sflow destinationsflow polling (Interface Mode) show sflow pollingsflow sampling show sflow pollingsflow sampling (Interface Mode) –
