Italso enables users to view these configurations easily.Upon being powered on, an Ethernet switch loads the configuration file known assaved-configuration file, which resides in the Flash, for initialization. If the Flashcontains no configuration file, the system initializes using the default settings.Comparing to the saved-configuration file, the configuration file which is currentlyadopted by a switch is known as the current-configuration.A configuration file conforms to the following conventions:z The content of a configuration files is a series of commands.z Only the non-default configuration parameters are saved.z The commands are grouped into sections by command view. The commands ofthe same command view are grouped into one section. Sections are separated byempty lines or comment lines. (A line starting with the character # is a commentline.)z The sections are listed in this order: system configuration section, logical interfaceconfiguration section, physical port configuration section, routing protocolconfiguration section, and so on.z A configuration file ends with a “return”.1.2 Configuration File-Related OperationsYou can perform the following operations on an S7500 switch:z Saving the current configuration to a configuration filez Removing a configuration file from the Flashz Viewing/Setting the configuration file to be used in the next startupPerform the following configuration to configure a configuration file:
