Operation Manual – HWPingH3C S7500 Series Ethernet Switches Chapter 1 HWPing Configuration1-23) Number of test packets sent in a testIf this parameter is set to a number greater than one, the system sends the second testpacket once it receives a response to the first one, or when the test timer times out if itreceives no response after sending the first one, and so forth until the last test packet issent out. This parameter is equivalent to the –n keyword in the ping command.4) Automatic test intervalThis parameter is used to allow the system to automatically perform the same test atregular intervals.5) Test timeout timeTest timeout time is the time the system waits for an ECHO-RESPONSE packet after itsends out an ECHO-REQUEST packet. If no ECHO-RESPONSE packet is receivedwithin this time, this test is considered a failure. This parameter is similar to the -tkeyword in the ping command, but has a different unit (the -t keyword in the pingcommand is in ms, while the timeout time in the HWPing command is in seconds).Note:The H3C S7500 Series Ethernet Switches support up to five test groupssimultaneously.1.2.2 Configuring HWPingFollow these steps to configure HWPing:To do...
