8.3 Scrapping of robotNoteThe decommissioning process shall be preceded by a risk assessment.Important when scrapping the robotDANGERThe risk assessment should consider hazards arising in the decommissioning,such as, but not limited to:• Always remove all batteries. If a battery is exposed to heat, for examplefrom a blow torch, it will explode.• Always remove all oil/grease in gearboxes. If exposed to heat, for examplefrom a blow torch, the oil/grease will catch fire.• When motors are removed from the robot, the robot will collapse if it is notproperly supported before the motor is removed.• A used robot does not have the same performance as on delivery.
