Refer to theinstructions for your operating system. Follow the standardinstallation steps with the exceptions noted below.2 At the boot prompt, type:linux ddYou will have about 10 seconds to type the command;otherwise, you will go directly to the standard installationscreen and you will not be able to use the driver diskette.3 When the Do You Have a Driver Diskette screen appears, selectYes and follow the on-screen instructions. Use the disk createdin Appendix D, Creating Driver Floppy Disks.4 When prompted, click Exit to complete the installation.Installing the Device Drivers for SuSE LinuxTo install the device drivers for SuSE 8.0 Enterprise, SuSE 8.1, or8.2:1 Boot off of the SuSE Linux CD. Refer to the instructions for youroperating system. Follow the standard installation steps withthe exceptions noted below.2 At the first installation window, while the progress bar ismoving to the left (decreasing), press Alt before the timerexpires.The message, Please get your Driver Update Floppy Ready appearsat the bottom of the window. If you do not press the Alt keybefore the timer expires, you will not be able to use the driverdisk.3 Select Installation.4 Insert the disk created in Appendix D, Creating Driver FloppyDisks, and follow the on-screen instructions.
