SeeInstalling the Driver When Windows 2000 or Windows Server 2003is Already Installed on page 5-3.3 Shut down Windows and turn off your system.4 Switch the bootable hard disk drive from the old SCSI controllerto the HostRAID controller.5 Power on your system.Windows 2000/2003/XP Installation andConfiguration NotesWindows Disk ManagementWhen creating a new array on a system running under Windows2000/2003/XP, the array is not listed in Windows DiskManagement until the array is initialized. This is normal Windowsfunctionality.Boot Order In Windows vs. the SCSISelect UtilityDuring Windows installation, Windows does not show the devicesin the boot order. Instead, it shows the arrays with the lower IDfirst. To minimize confusion during Windows installation, try oneof the following: Disconnect all devices other than members of the boot array, sothat only one logical device is present in the Windowsinstallation. Reconnect all other devices after Windows issuccessfully installed. Configure the boot array in the system BIOS or with SCSISelectso that the lowest ID is a member of the boot array.
