5-3Installing the HostRAID Driver for Windows 2000, 2003, and XPInstalling the Driver When Windows 2000 or Windows Server2003 is Already InstalledTo update or install the a320raid.sys driver if Windows 2000/2003is already installed:1 Create a Windows driver disk. See Appendix D, Creating DriverFloppy Disks for more information.2 Start Windows 2000/2003.Windows 2000/2003 will automatically discover the newhardware and start the Found New Hardware Wizard to guideyou through the device driver installation.3 At the Welcome to the Found New Hardware Wizard window,select Next.4 On the Install Hardware Device Drivers screen, select Display alist of the known drivers for this device, and click Next.5 On Select a Device Drivers screen, select the Have Disk button.You will be prompted to insert the manufacturer supplied disk.Insert the Windows driver disk you created in your floppy diskdrive and enter the following path:a:\win32Click the OK button.6 Select the appropriate HostRAID driver for your controller fromthe list (for example: Adaptec ASC 39320A HostRAID Driver),then click the Next button.7 On the Update Driver Warning window, click Yes to continuethe installation.8 Click the Next button again to confirm the installation of thedriver. You may be prompted with this warning message:"The software you are about to install does not contain aMicrosoft Digital Signature ..."Ignore the warning and click Yes to continue the installation.9 When the driver is copied on the hard disk drive, click Finish.10 You will be prompted to restart the computer. Select Yes.
