Version: 1.11 Function Reference 13323 SCAN! Configuration using KPG-89D• Configuring the Revert CH/GID (Refer to FPRG6.9.5 Revert CH/GID.)23.7.7 Dropout Delay TimeDropout Delay Time is the time from when the receivedsignal ends to when the transceiver resumes scan. The transceiver pauses scan when receiving a call duringscan. The transceiver resumes scan after receiving theCH/GID.The transceiver resumes scan when the followingconditions are met. There is no signal to receive.QT/DQT does not match.Group ID does not match. The transceiver activates the Talkback function during theDropout Delay Time according to the Revert CH/GIDconfiguration.When the transceiver pauses scan during the DropoutDelay Time, the channel on which the scan pauses ismonitored as the Priority Channel 1/ 2 when it is notconfigured as the Priority Channel. You can configure the Dropout Delay Time using KPG-89D.Note: While scan is paused on a channel, pressing the PTT switchwill transmit on the current Zone-CH/GID (Talkbackoperation).! Configuration using KPG-89D• Configuring the Dropout Delay Time (Refer toFPRG 6.9.6 Dropout Delay Time.)23.7.8 Dwell TimeScan pauses when the PTT switch is pressed duringscan. The Dwell Time is the time from when the PTTswitch is released to when the transceiver resumes scan. The transceiver activates the Talkback function during theDwell Time according to the Revert CH/GIDconfiguration.When the transceiver pauses scan during the Dwell Time, the channel on which the scan pauses is monitored asthe Priority Channel 1/ 2 when it is not configured as thePriority Channel.Note: While scan is paused on a channel, pressing the PTT switchwill transmit on the current Zone-CH/GID (Talkbackoperation).! Configuration using KPG-89D• Configuring the Dwell Time (Refer to FPRG 6.9.7Dwell Time.)23.7.9 LookbackThis function allows the transceiver to receive the PriorityChannel at a certain period when the manual scanpauses on the normal channel if the Priority Channel isconfigured in the transceiver. The transceiver selects the time period to scan thePriority Channel (Lookback Time A or Lookback Time B)according to the receive status of the Priority Channel.! Lookback Time AThis is the duration from the time when the PriorityScan pauses since no sarrier is selected in the PriorityChannel to the time when the transceiver resumes thePriority Scan from a normal channel. The LookbackTime A must be shorter than Lookback Time B sincethe transceiver may receive a call on the PriorityChannel.! Lookback Time BThis is the duration from the time when the PriorityScan pauses since the Carrier in the Priority Channeldoes not match own QT/DQT to the time when thetransceiver resumes the Priority Scan from a NormalChannel.! Configuration using KPG-89D• Configuring the Lookback Time A (Refer to FPRG6.9.8 Look Back Time A.)• Configuring the Lookback Time B (Refer to FPRG6.9.8 Look Back Time B.)23.7.10 Scan TypeYou can configure the Scan Type when manually enteringscan by pressing the PF Scan key. (Refer to 23.2 SingleScan, 23.3 Multi Scan, 23.4 List Scan.)! Configuration using KPG-89D• Configuring the Scan Type (Refer to FPRG 6.9.10Scan Type.)
