144 Function Reference Version: 1.1126 FUNCTION PORTThe TK-7180/ 8180 transceiver has ProgrammableFunction ports (AUX Input/AUX Output). The following input/output ports are assigned to the D-sub 25-pin connector on the back panel.Table 26-1 Assigning Signals to the D-sub 25-pinConnector26.1 Assigning Functions to theAuxiliary Input PortsYou can assign one of the functions to the AUX Input portusing KPG-89D.26.1.1 Data PTTThe Data PTT is the transmission request PTT port fordata communications. This terminal changes the channel of the transceiver toData Zone-CH/GID to start the transmission. The transceiver moves to the Data CH/GID to start thetransmission when the PF Data PTT port becomes low.The transmission ends when the Data PTT port becomeshigh. The transceiver stands by on the data channelduring the Data CH/GID Dwell Time. The transceiverreturns to the voice channel after the Data CH/GID DwellTime expires. The Data PTT has the priority when the Data Overridefunction is enabled. (Refer to 25.1.6 Data Override.)You can configure the following functions to the Data PTTport.Table 26-2 Data PTT ConfigurationPinNo.Signalname Input/Output Description4 AUX I/O 9 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output9 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 V8 AUX I/O 8 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output8 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 V12 AUX I/O 7 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output7 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 V13 AUX I/O 6 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output6 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 V15 AUX OUT2 OutputAuxiliary Output 2 :Active Low Opencollector (500 mAmax)16 AUX OUT1 OutputAuxiliary Output 1 :Active Low Opencollector (500 mAmax)20 AUX I/O 5 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output5 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 V21 AUX I/O 4 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output4 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 V22 AUX I/O 3 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output3 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 V23 AUX I/O 2 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output2 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 V24 AUX I/O 1 Input/OutputAuxiliary Input/Output1 :Active Low with47 kΩpull-up to 5 VData PTT ConfigurationModulationLineYou can configure the modulation line for the PFData PTT port. The following modulation linesare available.• Mic (the audio line of the Mic located on thefront of the transceiver)• MI2 Line (the audio modulation line of the D-sub connector located on the rear of thetransceiver)• DI Line (the data modulation line of the D-subconnector)The normal modulation line is the DI line.w/QT/DQTYou can configure the QT/DQT configured tothe Conventional Group channel to be extendedwhen the transceiver transmits the code usingthe Data PTT port. Normally, the QT/DQT arealso modulated at the same time.PinNo.Signalname Input/Output Description
