It can be used for the Voice Guidefunction and the GPS data storage function at the sametime.31.1 Auto RecordingThis function allows a user to automatically record thetransmitted or received voice.The user can record the following types of audio signals.• Audio signal on the input line of the microphone whilethe PTT switch is pressed.• Transmitted voice in the Emergency Mode• Received voiceThe user can record the transmitted voice using the PTTswitch or in the Emergency Mode. The transceiver doesnot record the transmitted voice with the Ext. PTT,Transpond, or data transmission.The user can playback and listen to the stored voice datausing the Message Playback function. (Refer to 31.4Message Playback.)You can configure the Auto Recording duration to 30seconds or disable the function. You cannot configurethis function when “Disable” is selected.Note:" A maximum recording time is 300 seconds (Auto Recording/Voice Memo/ Auto Reply Message)." The Auto Recording function is disabled when Voice MemoMode/ Auto Reply Message Mode/ Message Playback Mode isenabled." Configuration using KPG-89D• Configuring the Auto Recording function (Refer toFPRG 6.7.6 VGS-1 tab - Auto Recording.)31.2 Voice Memo(Manual Recording)This function allows a user to manually record thetransmitted voice or received signal.The user can record the following types of audio signals.• Voice spoken into the microphone• Voice transmitted by pressing the PTT switch• Voice transmitted in the Emergency Mode• Received voiceWhen the recording is completed, the voice data isautomatically stored in the VGS-1. The user can listen tothe stored voice data using the Message Playbackfunction. (Refer to 31.4 Message Playback.)You can enable/disable the Voice Memo, and/or configurethe maximum recording time and the storage functionoptions using KPG-89D.Although you must configure the Voice Memo in steps of30 seconds, the transceiver records each data in steps of15 seconds.For example, when the Voice Memo is configured for 60seconds, the user can record a maximum of 4 voicememos (15 seconds x 4 times).Table 31-1 Voice Memo ConfigurationNote:" A The maximum recording time is 300 seconds (AutoRecording/ Voice Memo/ Auto Reply Message)."
