Version: 1.11 Function Reference 5717 LTR TRUNKINGLTR Trunking Systems are multiple repeater systems thatutilize the LTR Trunking protocol. Each transceiver hasown Group ID so that various calls can be processedeasily. In LTR Trunking systems, the transceiver communicatesvia the repeater and repeater controller. In the system, you can communicate with other parties using anavailable repeater channel automatically.Figure 17-1 LTR Trunking SystemThe following data format is used to transmit/receive LTRsystem information between the repeater and thetransceiver.Figure 17-2 LTR Data FormatThe transceiver uses the LTR ID (Group ID) to make acall to the receiving party. You can communicate whenthe transmitting party’s Encode ID matches the receivingparty’s Decode ID.Figure 17-3 Communication in LTR Trunking SystemNote: LTR stands for the Logic Trunked Radio and it is a registeredtrademark of E. F. Johnson company.17.1 ZoneYou can configure the following functions to the LTRTrunking System Zone using KPG-89D.• Zone Name• Scan Weight• Wide/Narrow• Data Zone-CH/GID• Data Delay Time• Home GID• Home GID Operator Selectable• Time-out Timer (Dispatch)• Time-out Timer (Telephone)• Audio Control• Encode Data Type• Zone Add• Scan List• Auto Telephone Search• TA Busy Channel Lockout• TA Key• Fix ID• Telephone (Block IDs)• TX Inhibit (Block IDs)• Decode ID (Block IDs)17.1.1 Zone NameThe Zone Name function allows you to assign a name toa Zone. (Refer to 3.6.1 Zone Name.)You can configure the Zone Name using KPG-89D.! Configuration using KPG-89D• Configuring the Zone Name (Refer to FPRG 6.5.1Zone Name.)17.1.2 Scan WeightThis function allows you to configure the decode period ofthe LTR ID transmitted from the Repeater during scan. The transceiver uses the LTR ID provided by the repeaterand performs Trunkout operation. If there are severalGroup IDs having the same Home number in the LTRSystem, other users having the same Home number mustTrunkout. Therefore, it will take long time to receive itsown LTR ID. In this case, you can configure the ScanWeight longer so as not to miss the LTR Data duringscan.1 weight is approximately 500 ms.You can configure the Scan Weight using KPG-89D.Sync9Area1Go toChannel5HomeChannel5ID8FreeChannel5CRC7(40 bit @ 3.36 ms for 134.4 ms frame)Transceiver 1 Transceiver 2RepeaterTransmitFrequencyReceiveFrequencyRepeaterTransceiver 3Decode ID = 20Transceiver 2Decode ID = 10Transceiver 4Decode ID = 10Transceiver 1Encode ID = 10ID=10ID=10ID=10ID=10
