Press the PF Monitor Momentary key.The “ ” appears while this key is pressed.The QT/DQT Signaling becomes Inactive whenthe QT/DQT Decode function is configured tothe channel and a user can hear audio everytime the transceiver receives a Carrier.2. Release the PF Monitor Momentary key.The “ ” icon disappears.If the QT/DQT is configured to the currentchannel, the transceiver returns to SignalingSquelch.Note:" When the PF Monitor key or the PF Monitor Momentarykey is pressed, the optional signaling resets and it becomesactive." In Trunking system, the transceiver does not disable theMute function unless the ID matches even if it receives aCarrier. If the optional signaling is configured to the GroupID, the transceiver disables the Mute function only with theoptional signaling." The transceiver does not stop scanning even if thePF Monitor Momentary key is pressed.18.6.2 Operations during Scan inTrunking SystemIn Trunking system, the transceiver disables optionalsignaling and mutes only with the LTR ID.The “ ” icon appears when the PF Monitor key or thePF Monitor Momentary key is pressed during scan. Thetransceiver continues to scan.18.7 SquelchThis function allows the transceiver to open Squelch anddisable the Mute function.With this function, the transceiver disables the Mutefunction without receiving a carrier. A user can use thisfunction to monitor the channel before transmitting.Press the PF Squelch Off key or the PF Squelch OffMomentary key to use this function.! The BUSY LED lightsgreen if the BUSY LED is configured.The transceiver disables the Mute function andopens Squelch regardless of the QT/DQTDecode function.
